Let's get to know each other.
In February of 2000, Pastors Ricky and Tria Hunt saw a need in the Madison, Wisconsin area. Their vision for a family church was the driving force behind the establishment of Faith, Hope and Love Family Worship Center Church (FHL). They labored earnestly in Gods vineyard for 6 years. In just a short time, Pastors Ricky and Tria Hunt purchased a building in Sun Prairie, a van, a 40 passenger bus and other essential church assets. In 2006, following the leading of the Lord, Pastors Hunt relocated from Madison, Wisconsin to establish a new ministry in another state.
On December 3rd, 2006, Pastor Harold E. Rayford assumed the pastoral responsibilities of Faith, Hope and Love Family Worship Center Church in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Prior to accepting the church, Pastor Rayford was a lifelong member of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral in Fort Worth, Texas. He served The Chosen Vessel as Lead Associate Pastor under the tutelage of Bishop Richard E. Young. The experience and knowledge he gained in Fort Worth would prove to be invaluable.
On Pastor Rayford’s first Sunday, there was a small group of dedicated and faithful persons in attendance. Within the first few months the congregation experienced steady growth. It was during this time that Pastor Rayford developed his pastoral motto, “Don’t worry about the numbers, just meet the needs of the people”. The church also adopted a theme for 2007, “Our Year of Unity”. Most important, the lives of the congregants began to grow exponentially as they established more personal relationships with God.
From December of 2006 until April of 2007, Pastor Rayford, his family and the FHL family patiently and prayerfully endured a grueling commute from Texas to Wisconsin. Week after week, God blessed with traveling mercies, favorable weather and low airfares. Meanwhile, the transformation continued. The church began to establish ministries that were designed to meet the needs of the current and future members. The church began to implement a vision of over 50 ministries.
In 2011 this growing church sold its land and purchased an 8,000 square foot warehouse and began the renovation project to convert it into one of the most beautiful churches in Dane County.
In 2013, Bishop Rayford proposed to the congregation that it consider rebranding from Faith, Hope and Love Family Worship Center. The new name would be The Faith Place. He felt The Faith Place was a better representation of the vision and future of the church.
In September of 2019 Elder James Hawkins of Ohio became our pastor .
The Faith Place is a place where people of all walks of life gather together to believe God for salvation, miracles and blessings. . The Faith Place Church is a growing community church. It’s a place where faith “works”. We have high expectations! We have big dreams! We serve a big God that can do BIG things! Our future is bright, our outlook is out-of-sight and the timing is right!
